Our 89% polyester 11% spandex fabric is a game - changer in the textile industry. With 18 years of experience in sportswear collaborations, we've engineered this fabric to meet the highest standards.
Technically, this fabric has a weight of 220 GSM and an 80% crosswise stretch recovery. It outperforms competitors in Martindale abrasion tests, lasting over 18,000 cycles, making it perfect for cycling shorts. The 1/1 plain weave construction provides multidirectional stretch without the unappealing shiny look.
There are some constraints. Spandex degrades above 190°C, but our sanforized finishing ensures less than 1.5% shrinkage up to 40 wash cycles. We've also solved seam slippage issues, like for SHEIN's yoga leggings, by increasing warp density to 140 threads/inch. For print designs, our pigment fixation process preserves sharpness through high - tension sublimation and has a crocking resistance of over 4 on ISO scales.
There are a few restrictions. Spandex dissolves at 190°C, yet our sanforized finish insures less than 1.5% shrinkage through 40 wash cycles.
